After a long day traveling,the house was a wonderfull relief especially the welcome pack to start us off.
We could not fault your home from home,very comfortable, five wonderfull bedrooms & four very clean bathrooms, what more could we ask for as we are five seperate adults.
The living area was very spacious & comfortable, with every channel you could want on the t.v. for those relaxing nights,
even the Fox Soccor Channel ( english football ).
The kitchen was well equipped & spacious for any occasions.
Then we come to the POOL ,what more can we say then FANTASTIC, plenty of room for catching the Florida sun,& great for that relaxing dip at night after the long hot days spent in the parks.
Not forgetting the games room plenty to keep the kids entertained,plus the house could not be better placed for all the parks, beaches, restaurants & the 192 & old town. All an All the perfect place to spend your vacation in Florida.
Would recommend it to any one & value for money.

Hi Elaine, We've returned home safely from your lovely villa, we had an absolutely fantastic time and the villa and all facilities was a great home from home. The boys particularly loved the pool and garage!
We did 7 days at Disney with the tickets that you recommended (I had them delivered to the villa, I don't know if you've ever done this but it was a very good service) and we all had a fantastic time. We also visited Gatorland, Kissimmee old town classic car cruise, Celebration, Wonderworks, Ripley's etc.
The weather was lovely and hot with only two storms which the kids enjoyed!
I will be recommending your villa to any friends or family who are looking for accommodation in the Orlando area, I found the location to be ideal as it was closer to Disney than I had thought.

Sorry it took us a little while to get back to you. We were trying to get everything back to normal here. Yes, we did have a wonderful holiday and your villa was excellent. It made our trip very wonderful. Especially the pool!

I would prefer it if you would mail the check back to us. It would just put us a little more at ease.

There are a couple of things that I wanted to let you know about our stay that might make it even better for the next families that stay at your villa. Like I said we did love our stay there and would definitely consider returning, but just wanted to make you aware of a few things. First, the refrigerator is leaking water into the drawers and the bottom of the fridge. When we got to the villa the first day there was water and a little ice in the bottom. We cleaned it all up and then a few days later we had to do it again and one more time before we left. It was not a big deal, but something that you might want to look into. Secondly, you have some signs around the property that give some useful bits of information and that is a great idea, but I would repeat everything from those signs in the binder of information that was there. That would give one central location to find all of the information just case one of the signs fell down or if it did not get seen. For example we did notice the sign that talked about what day to take out the trash until just before we left. Third, was some of us had a little bit of trouble operating the remote control for the TV in the living room. I am very good with electronics, but some of our party were not as good. They needed a little bit of help figuring it out and I thought if there were some instructions in the binder about that as well it might eliviate any problems people might have with that. Also, I could not get any of the remotes to work the DVD player. Lastly, there was one day that we had trouble turning off the light on the ceiling fan in the very first room on the left as you enter. Eventually it worked, but it was acting up a little. I don't know why , but I just wanted to let you know.

Again, thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your villla and for all of your assistance prior to the vacation. I think that you have done a wonderful job decorating and stocking the house with all of the essentials. We also thought that it was wonderful that you left a welcome package with some food and drinks for that first day. If anything is unclear or you need me to elaborate, please feel free to ask.

Hi Elaine

Arrived back safely and slowly recovering from the jet lag! I think the night flight just about tired us out as we struggled to sleep on the flight and then went straight back to work/school.

We really did have a fantastic holiday and the villa was super. We would definitely go back to it if we go back to Florida – which I’m sure we will. I don’t even think we scratched the surface in the 2 weeks.

Very few suggestions for the villa itself – two things probably would be helpful. The first is instructions for the TV and cable. Gemini told us to have the TV on channel 4 and then use the black control (channel button) to move up and down the channels. This worked but we wouldn’t have known this without them – all we got was a white fuzzy screen. The only other thing that you might consider are a few more cooking bits and pieces – we had plenty of crockery but perhaps a few more salad bowls, dishes to go in the oven etc might be helpful. Cooking for 9 was quite a challenge although we didn’t do it often. These aren’t criticisms just helpful I hope.

Villa was very clean, beautifully decorated and ideal for the makeup of adults and kids in terms of bedrooms and bathrooms. Boys loved the games room, particularly the table tennis. The pool area was also great in size. I particularly liked the open airy feeling and the big kitchen.

Our tips to have a good time. Best theme park was Universal Islands of Adventure as it had the best overall combination of rides for kids of our ages. The boys actually found Magic Kingdom tame as they were looking for thrill rides or ones where you get wet but they did like the night parade and fireworks! The other really memorable thing we did was the Cirque de Soleil in Downtown Disney. I would defy anyone not to be mesmerised by it – we loved it and was worth every penny.

Our top tip to do the parks at Easter, get there by 8.30am, know which rides you want to do and then head for them. Once they are done you can slow down and go back to the less popular rides around the park. By doing this we managed to avoid buying express passes or wait in queues of any more than 15 minutes. Buying tickets in the UK before you go is also much cheaper. We ended up using Attraction Tickets Direct who were reasonable and very efficient.

I thought the Welcome Pack of tea bags etc was a great touch and very welcome.

Anyway I could ramble on for hours with all the highlights of our non stop trip. I hope you have a lovely time in Florida when you go in the next few months.

What a fantastic two weeks my family and I had at your villa. My sister and family are still out there (Elliott). We came home yesterday with my parents (Cole) - did not want to come back at all.
Your villa is absolutely wonderful - what a beautiful place. We loved staying there. Would definitely recommend it to friends.
We had a great time in Florida and will return again in a couple of years - I would return next year but my husband has put his foot down and categorically said NO!!!! OH well.

MARIE FINLEY & FAMILY - WISCONSIN 21st – 27th SEPTEMBER 2008

Hi Elaine --

Well, we had a wonderful time although the weather was too hot for me. (I decided that I am just not a Florida person.) The grandchildren loved the pool, of course, as well as the little lizards that climbed the pool enclosure. On our first day there, we found a little frog in the kitchen area but we were able to coax him outside without any damage to him. The grandkids did not arrive until Sunday so didn't get a chance to see the frog. The kids also loved the games room and their bedrooms and had to have their pictures taken in each of the rooms.

We spent a day at the Magic Kingdom - a good time of year to go, no lines, a day at Universal, a day at the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa - really a fun time, a day at the ocean and a day relaxing.

We did experience a couple of minor problems - none of the outlets in the master bath worked. Either that or we just didn't know how to get them to work. The smoke detector in the bedroom next to the master did not have a battery in it so we bought one and put it in but it kept beeping. We eventually removed the battery so the beeping would stop so that smoke detector is not functioning. Other than that, the house was exceptionally clean and very welcoming. The pool was super and the game room got a lot of use. I will be recommending Appledore to friends who may be visiting Central Florida.

We have a fabulous time thank -you. Your villa was more than we ever could have wished for. It really was/is a first class villa. The pool, the rooms, the kitchen,the playroom, I could go on and on. The children loved it so much we spent three days just sat around the pool cos they didn't want to leave the house!!
I would certainly recommend it to any of my friends and we will definitely be revisiting.

Wanda Wilson & Family – Boardman, OHIO 18th – 25th July 2010 Elaine, I intended to write you straight away of the simply wonderful time we had as a family and Appledore was a significant reason for that experience. Things have been a whirlwind since returning. We appreciated your close contact with us as we prepared for the vacation and once there found everything beautiful and above our expectations. The cleaning crew does a nice job, which is very appreciated. Also the security fence around the pool was such peace of mind for all of us with the 2 and 6 year olds. It was one of the most important features for us. To kind of some up our experience: Disney and the Appledore were magical for the family and it is indeed a place where dreams come true. Even though the temps were a little lower for this time of year we came from 2’ of snow so we didn’t really care. The only problem that we encountered was that we couldn’t get the TV to turn on. The green light would come on then would make a noise and turn off after 20-30 seconds. We could never get a picture. Other than that we loved the house and appreciate you letting us stay. We are considering going back to Florida next year and if we do it would be great if we could stay there again depending on availability. Gilbert and Kia Dabney/ Willow Grove, PA December 23 - December 30th, 2009 Hi Elaine and Dave, Thanks so much for allowing my family to spend our Christmas vacation at your villa. I have only positive things to say about our stay and I will try and keep it short! When we arrived on the 23rd we were all so amazed about the space, the decor and the feeling of comfort that met us as we entered the property. The pictures on the internet or the brochure, does this property no justice, as we were blown away! The welcome kit was such a gracious touch and it truly did it's job, and made us feel "welcomed"! The bedrooms and bathrooms were all so very clean and PERFECT!! There were plenty of clean linens and the signs around the villa were very helpful. Although it seems the heating on the pool wasn't initially set, that did not stop my children from getting in.. The management company immediately resolved this for us and boy did that pool warm up! My children so loved the pool almost, if not more than Disney itself!! WOW. The market was right around the corner in a complex that included a nail salon and a liquor store as well. The villa is located close to everything...theme parks, restaurants, stores....everything. I truly did not want to leave, none of us did! We will most certainly return to Florida and hopefully be able to stay at Appledore again! Well worth the cost!! I will refer everyone to you Elaine. You were a pleasure to do business with! FRANCA & WAYNE HORSMAN _ 26th DECEMBER 2008 – 3RD JANUARY 2009 Dear Elaine: We arrived home last night and had no difficulties with any of our travels. Florida was wonderful! The weather was a pleasure, the kids were able to use the pool each day. Your home was just perfect for our combined families, lots of room to spread out and everyone had the privacy they needed. It was hard to leave yesterday. I think that after having a vacation home it will be very difficult to go back to hotel rooms in the future. We hope we left everything as we found it. WIGGINS FAMILY – Bowers Gifford, Essex – March/April 2008 Dear Elaine, We did have a lovely time in Florida. We managed to go out every day but one, which I think was when I spoke to you on the 'phone. Everyone had a good time, and I think we must have walked about 100 miles, round the parks. The boys went on every ride possible, but the 2 youngest had to miss a few because of their heights. Geoff and I were quite content to have a sit down and look after our youngest grandson. We really enjoyed Discovery Cove, and think it was well worth the money. It was a nice relaxed day. Also we had a good time at the new water park, Aquatica, and visited that twice. Luckily the weather was really hot on both days. The villa was very comfortable, with plenty of room for all of us, and we found it situated in a good position, central to most of the parks, with shopping and restaurants nearby. The boys enjoyed using the Games Room and the pool. We will certainly pass on your details to any friends thinking of visiting Florida in the near future, and may possibly return in a couple of years. Greg and Lori Lamer (December 2006/January 2007) Thanks Elaine and Dave. We had a wonderful two week holiday in Florida. Your home became our home and we really enjoyed it. We found it to be comfortable, well equipped, spacious and clean. We really liked the large kitchen and family room area as well as the pool and games room. Our two families(nine in all) were most comfortable! We enjoyed our time together but also had room to have privacy and space to ourselves. We found the proximity to Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World and other attractions to be excellent. It was only a short thirty-five minute drive to the airport and it was within minutes of groceries, gas and shopping. We found the neighborhood to be quiet, clean and peaceful. Access into the home was easy(code) and the security(alarm system) gave us peace of mind. Elaine was prompt in answering all our questions and looked after all the details. We highly recommend their home to people considering a Florida/Disney vacation!
Carla Fri 14th July 2006 Subject: Your Villa Hi! I was also in the party that stayed at your wonderful villa during the week of May 21-28. There were 11 of us who stayed at the home but it wasn't crowded at all. We all had a great time, making special memories with our family. Now that we are back, I've told many people about how nice it was to stay all together, cook and eat together, swim in the pool together, spend each morning and evening together even when we separated during the day to visit various places due to different interests. I've e-mailed your website to some of my family members who will probably be contacting you soon for a visit in January. Tiff said in her comments that she forgot to sign the guestbook, but I signed it for all of us. Thanks for helping us to have a very memorable family vacation!
Tiffany Wed 21st June 2006 Subject: Wonderful Villa Hi Elaine! Well we have recoouperated from our trip. What a wonderful time we had! I have to tell you that we most enjoyed your beautiful house. We couldnt have found a nicer house in the area. We defenitely made the right decision in choosing your house. I think the thing that made it the most comforting is all the coorespondance I had with you prior to going to Florida. You made it very pleasant and I felt like you were really opening your home up to us. You were a great help! The call from you on Tuesday was very nice. I told you in that conversation that everything was great and we hadn't run into any problems. About 1 hour after our conversation....A slight problem!!! It was not a big problem. (Actually I have a rule, no tv on vacation) We went to watch t.v. that evening and all we had was a gray screen. I called Maintence around 6:15 pm and they said they would send someone out to fix it. When we awoke the next morning, the tv was up and running in time for our moring weather report. We had great weather! Record highs...95 degrees every day. Just the way we like it. The pool was awesome, the kids really enjoyed it. Over all, our stay at your house couldnt have been any better. I regret that I forgot to sign your guest book. Suggestion: You should post a guest book on your web-site, for those of us who dont sign the book at the house. You could ask your renters to email you comments and then you could post it on your website for all others to read. You have a beautiful home and those looking for a Villa would enjoy reading guests comments. We had a little concern on the day of departure. Trash pick up is on Thursday, and by Sunday when we left, garbage was overflowing again. I think at one time you had two trash barrels, but when we arrived there was only one. All our trash did not fit in the one, so some had to be left in the garage. I hope this was ok and did not attract any critters. I assumed the cleaning crew would be in that day to pick it up. I didnt know what else to do with it. I surely hope everyting was fine when they came in after we left. I havent heard from you, so I hope that is a good sign. I know you try really hard to make your home the best to stay in, and you do a great job at it. Here are a few suggestions my family had that would have made our stay even more exceptional. These are all suggestions that anyone could live without, but came up in our conversaton. If you had certain cleaning supplies on hand, we could have cleaned up some more than we did. For example, glass cleaner. Our kids would go in and out the sliding doors and put their hands all over the glass. We tried to clean them, but only made more of a streaky mess. Your beautiful kitchen floor shows spots very easily. We cooked in a lot, so the kitchen got a lot of attention. Twice I wanted to clean the floor, but didnt have any floor cleaner, so I just used water. We could have picked some up, but who wants to purchase cleaning supplies for only one week. As it was, we left our laundry detergent, and dishwasher detergent. I hope the cleaners left it for the next guests. A few evenings, we hung out in the garage playing table tennis and darts. It was too hot and buggy outside to keep the garage doors open and was too hot inside to play. Remember the average temp that week was 95. Some days reaching 101!!!A suggeston would be AC in the garage. Speaking of garage, we found it very helpful that you had strollers available. My brother lives in the south also, and he felt ceiling fans in the bedrooms would have been great, easier sleeping. Myself, I didnt mind. A ceiling fan on the lanai would have been a great idea for those of us sitting around the pool not swimming. It was so hot out there that at times, you couldnt sit out there, and some felt it would have helped having a fan. You should advertise on your website that you have crib, strollers, etc available. That would be a big seller for some people looking for a Villa. I was happily supprised to see you had that at your home. Our kids are bigger and didnt need a crib, but for anyone who would, that is great. I have to say, even though you have a lot of nice pictures of your house on the website, they dont represent how beautiful the house really is. Usually you see pictures and then once you get there you find out the house has gotten older and not as nice as the pictures show. This was not the case at all!!! The house is actually more beautiful than the pictures represent. Again, we couldnt have choosen a better home. We want to thank you for everything and if there was any concerns with the house after we left, please let me know. We tried hard to leave it as nice as we found it, minus streaky glass. lol I will recommend your home to all my Villa renting friends who visit Florida. Do you own just that Villa, or others too?
